Call For Anyone Who Likes To Take Photographs

Myself and sound artist Mike Coombs are inviting you, the public to take photographs of part of a sculpture on The Harlow Sculpture Trail and/or watercolour from The Gibberd Gallery Collection as part of our commission with The Gibberd Gallery in Harlow. We will then produce artwork from a selection of these photos incorporating sound which will be displayed next year at The Gibberd Gallery.  All photos submitted to be displayed on our webpage.

Firstsite Open 2015

I have one piece of work titled: Trace, at Firstsite Open, Colchester, CO1 1JH. The exhibition is on until 22 November. This is one piece from a solo exhibition ‘Inside Out’ The exhibition traces the Old Orient Express route through Hungry, Romania, Bulgaria to Istanbul. Colour Shop/Open Studios

I have a series of work highlighting colour and texture on show in Eastgate gallery and will be offering an old english style cup of coffee to visitors to my studio 14, Gatehouse Arts, Westgate, Harlow, Essex CM20 1JR, for Open Studios on 3/4 October 1100-1600.

The studios house over 40 artists who will be opening their studios for this weekend.  Come along and enjoy the show, view the artwork and chat to the artists.  Something for everyone.

On The Line, Harlow Art Trail 04Jun-04Jul

‘On The Line’ (collaborative conceptual installation) our latest piece of work can be viewed in the Harlow Arts Trails Exhibition, Eastgate Gallery, Eastgate, Harlow from 11Jun-4 Jul 2015. The iconic British red phone box in 1970s could be seen on many street corners throughout the UK. The installation traces the locations aided by local residents and incorporates sound, fragrance, photography an ex-directory.

Do you remember button A and B? People knocking on the window? How to make a phone call using buttons A and B. The work incorporates the development and re-invention.
Artists: myself/Visual Artist, Mike Coombs/Sound Artist/Musician and Composer, Fragrance/Amanda Westbury.  Full images and sound to follow shortly.
